CpuIdle lowers the CPU temperature by disabling it when not needed. This prolongs the CPU life (a decrease by 10░C doubles the life span) and cuts power consumption. Unlike normal power management CpuIdle is active all the time and works even when you're actively using your computer! CpuIdle's is also a CPU optimizer. Most CPUs include performance increasing options that are disabled by default. CpuIdle activates them!
