Batranescul Windows 3.1
A major upgrade to Windows 3.0, introduced in 1992. It added support for multimedia, TrueType fonts, compound documents (OLE) and drag & drop and also provided a more stable environment. Windows 3.1 ran 16-bit Windows and DOS applications but was unable to run subsequent 32-bit Windows programs written for Windows 95 and beyond. Within the same year of introduction, Windows 3.1 evolved into Windows for Workgroups 3.11, which added peer-to-peer networking and which was the last 16-bit Windows operating system.
After 32-bit Windows 95 was released, many 16-bit Windows 3.1 applications continued to run smoothly under Windows 95 and subsequent versions (98, NT, etc.). However, although 32-bit supports long file names, Windows 3.1 applications support only the 8.3 naming convention in which file names cannot contain more than eight characters.

Cred ca ar trebui expus la un muzeu de software , in cazul in care epic ar dori sa-si deschida unul !
Parerea mea este ca marea majoritate a utilizatorilor de internet nu au auzit decat de Windows 95 !
Nu ati apucat MSDosul !

dar mai mult foloseam Norton Comander
nu mai stiu prin ce an era asta
stiu ca aveam 8 rami si hdd-ul de 128 MB

@liviu: Daca varul are doar 5 ani nu stiu cum sa facem.
Sub Win3x jocuri nu prea sunt. Am o mica colectie, dar nu-s grozave. Daca vrei doar jocuri, mai bine pui MS-DOS 6 si sunt jocuri traznet, alde DOOM, DUNE2, F117, curse de masini etc.
Daca vrei sa navigheze pe net, browserele pe 16 biti nu suporta chestiile moderne, nu va putea naviga. De jocuri flash nu mai vorbim.
Softurile "serioase" sub Win3x sunt MS Word 6, Thumbs+ (grafica raster), Designer 3 (grafica vectoriala) etc cu care un pusti de 5 ani nu prea are ce face.
Spune ce iti trebuie si iti dau. Deci, intai fixeaza-te la OS: MS-DOS sau Win3x.
